RECOMMENDATION
Intended use
These corks are designed for plugging sparkling wines. Their diameter is much larger than the average
of other types of cork closures. This is because this type of cork must withstand high pressure in this kind of drinks.
Corks for sparkling wines are destined for further handling by that client (finish) and for sealing
bottles containing sparkling wine.
Durability
The maximum period for which should be corks after the treatment should not be stored longer than 4 months
and recommended storage conditions. This because the sulfur dioxide which is used as an antiseptic and anti-oxidant
decomposes over time and increases the risk of microbial colonization. Untreated corks (just washed and washed and dyed)
are intended for immediate consumption.
Storage humidity
Relative humidity should be between 40-70%.
Storage temperature
Temperature limit of 15 to 20°C.
Note:
Our products and production technologies are in conformity with the rules and regulations
including the International Code for the manufacture of cork closures and the Portuguese
and European legislation on materials and articles which are intended to come into contact with food.
